Indoor Plants from Botanicly
‘Mountain coffee’ from Ethiopia was the first coffee plant ever to be cultivated and is still the most widespread plant in the family. In the wild, it grows everywhere. But in your home it will behave itself. Place it next to your coffee machine, near the kitchen window. When the plant is doing well, it produces lovely white flowers after around four years. After fertilisation, those flowers turn into beans.
The coffee plant prefers a bright spot in the home. Near a window facing east or west, but not facing south. Keep the temperature constant. In the growing season – spring and summer – you must keep the soil slightly moist, preferably by frequently giving it small amounts of water, and every now and then by giving it lots of water. You can keep the leaves glossy by misting them regularly. That’s also good for the plant’s health.
