Fruit Plants from Botanicly

In spring, the ‘Stella’ has a beautiful white cherry blossom bloom. In August you can pick the sweet cherries. This cherry tree looks beautiful even in autumn, when the leaves turn orange.

Care recommendation

The ‘Stella’ grows on almost all floors. It is important that the soil is sufficiently moist and nutritious. Plant the cherry tree in a sunny spot to allow enough sunlight to fall on the cherries.

A fruit tree needs a little more care than a normal tree.

Then prune the tree after the harvest. First, look at the shape of the treetop before doing so. Cut new branches that are not part of the treetop. Do you see branches that intersect? Then cut off one of these branches. Are there any branches without cherries this year? Then cut them off.

Also make sure that the branches do not collapse under the weight of the fruit. Fertilize your cherry tree in February or March. Look closely at how wide the crown of your tree is and fertilize in a circle under the crown around the tree.
